Quido is the second typeface I’ve ever created (first was Julianne Script) and it also serves as my graduation project. It combines high contrast, brushy strokes, and a thirteen-degree slope to the left. My inspiration for this typeface came from Seven Lines Pica No. 2, a typeface featured in the Specimen of Printing Types – a catalog of typefaces presented by Vincent Figgins in 1815. I also found valuable design insights from Ohno Type Foundry’s fonts, particularly their Blazeface font.
I have plans to develop another weight and make the font available for sale.
